Local funeral home hosting food drive

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

The Resthaven Funeral Home is hosting a month-long food drive to benefit the South Plains Food Bank. The drive started Wednesday and runs through November 1. Non-perishable food items will be collected Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday in barrels located at the funeral home, 5740 19th Street. 

Some of the suggested items include canned tuna, canned sardines, and canned soups. Also suggested are peanut butter, beans, rice and pasta.
