In front of a sold out crowd at Jones AT&T Stadium, the Red Raiders suffered their first loss of the season to #17 Oklahoma 41-20.
With most of the crowd donned in black for the afternoon blackout game, the Sooners blacked out Tech's high-tech offense, intercepting Seth Doege 3 times. The last was returned for a touchdown to give OU a 38-13 lead in the third.
The Red Raiders #1 defense in the nation was exploited by the Sooners who racked up almost 400 yards.
Oklahoma scored on the first series of the game and the Red Raiders responded to tie it at 7 on Kenny Williams 7 yard touchdown run.
Doege finished 22 of 36 with 3 interceptions and 203 yards passing.
Trailing 24-13 at the half, the Red Raider offense was never able to mount a serious threat to get back in the game.
Now 4-1 overall and 1-1 in the Big 12, Tech is back home next week for another big Big 12 game hosting West Virginia at 2:30pm at Jones AT&T Stadium.
