Gymnastics champs bring Olympics to Lubbock

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Lubbock got a taste of the Olympics on Sunday as the Kellogg's Tour of Gymnastics Champions came to the United Spirit Arena.

Lubbock fans packed the arena to see 16-year-old Gabby Douglas, a.k.a. the Flying Squirrel, and her teammates perform a show that combined elite gymnastics and modern dance.

MTV captured footage of Gabby's performance and the Lubbock audience. The footage is scheduled to air on October 18th.

The champions are now headed to Minnesota for their next performance on Thursday.
