George Strait tickets go on sale 10 a.m. Friday

From United Spirit Arena:

Musical icon George Strait returns to United Spirit Arena January 18, 2013 to kick off his final two-year tour –The Cowboy Rides Away Tour. Special guest Martina McBride is scheduled to open the show.

In a press conference live from the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville, Strait announced his plans for a final two-year tour, and noted "We start out in Lubbock. We're gonna go up there and play for a bunch of Red Raiders and that's always fun. We always enjoy playing Lubbock."

Tickets for the January 18 United Spirit Arena show go on sale to the public at 10am Friday, October 12 at www.selectaseatlubbock.com, by phone at 806-770-2000 or toll-free 1-800-735-1288, and at all Lubbock area Select-a-Seat outlets (Civic Center box office, TTU Student Union box office, Dollar Western Wear, Ralph's Records and Tapes, and United Supermarkets). Tickets prices are $69.50 and $89.50 plus service charges.

The 2013 George Strait concert tour is also offering a special VIP "Ace in the Hole" package for $399, plus applicable service fees. The special package is limited in quantity and includes:

  • One (1) Reserved Ticket in First 10 Rows of the floor or the Lower Bowl
  • VIP Parking Pass (1 per order)
  • One (1) VIP Laminate 
  • Invitation to Pre-Show Party in 'The King's Tavern Lounge' w/ Complimentary Food and Cash Bar

Patrons are advised that the sole ticket agent is Select-a-Seat of Lubbock. Purchasing tickets from other vendors, including re-sale web sites, scalpers, or brokers places the buyer at risk of paying exceedingly high prices above the ticket's actual face value, or possibly purchasing counterfeit or stolen tickets.

Counterfeit or duplicated tickets presented at events will be confiscated and ticket holders will be denied entry into the facility. The United Spirit Arena and Select-a-Seat accept no responsibility for tickets purchased through these unauthorized vendors.
