New hope in the fight against cervical cancer

There is new hope in the fight against cervical cancer. Preliminary research shows a new vaccine may be able to kill cancerous cells in the cervix.  This is different from gardasil, which is the vaccine that is recommended for teens to prevent cancer-causing HPV infections.  Instead, this experimental treatment targets lesions and cancer cells that have already formed. More studies are needed.
