Red Raiders dominate No. 5 West Virginia

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

With 57,328 fans at Jones AT&T Stadium for homecoming, the Red Raiders dominated #5 West Virginia 49-14 behind 6 Touchdown passes from Seth Doege.

The Red Raiders went to work on their first drive as Seth Doege found Jace Amaro for a 39 yard touchdown with the game a mere minute and 56 seconds old.

Doege added TD passes to Eric Ward, Marcus Kennard and Darrin Moore to open up a 28-7 lead.

SeDale Foster broke free for a 53 yard touchdown run with 35 seconds left in the half to put the Red Raiders up 35-7. Doege had 336 yards passing in first half. He added a third quarter TD toss to Moore to balloon lead to 42-7.

Heisman hopeful Mountaineer QB Geno Smith was stymied by Tech's defense all game long.

The Red Raiders are now 5-1 overall and 2-1 in the Big 12.

Tech now goes on the road next week to visit TCU.
