Wayland Pioneers celebrate first Homecoming victory

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

The Wayland Baptist Pioneers defeated Southwestern Assemblies of God on Saturday afternoon by a score of 58-37. It was the final home game of the season for the Pioneers as they celebrated the school's first ever football Homecoming game.

The Pioneers improved their record to 2-6 on the year.

They Pioneers will travel to Bacone College next Saturday. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m.
