MANHATTAN, KS (KCBD) - The Texas Tech Red Raiders were set up to shock the world on Saturday afternoon traveling to take on #3 Kansas State.
However, too much Collin Klein proved to be the difference maker as Texas Tech fell to #3 Kansas State 55-24.
Kansas State trailed Texas Tech last year after the 1st half, but turned it on in the second half defeating Texas Tech 41-34 in Lubbock.
The Wildcats were only up 13-10 at the half in Saturday's tilt, but came out swinging in the second half.
Collin Klein threw for 233 yards and 2 touchdowns and also ran for two touchdowns.
Seth Doege went 34 for 49 combining for 308 yards and two touchdowns. He also threw one interception.
The loss drops Texas Tech to 6-2 overall and 3-2 in the Big 12.
The Kansas State Wildcats will continue their quest to compete for the National Championship next week against Oklahoma State.
Texas Tech will welcome #23 Texas to town next Saturday.
The Texas Longhorns held off the Kansas Jayhawks on Saturday 21-17.
