LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -
The Lubbock Professional Fire Fighters Association held their fall fundraiser Saturday night, bringing together a variety of different organizations, and a lot of smiling faces.
Children got their faces painted and went fishing for prizes, and one firefighter took pumpkin carving to a whole new level.
Brad Jones carved the scene from 9-11 on a pumpkin, displaying the lifting of a flag. Jones also carved the 343 names of the fire fighters killed on that day.
Courtney Oles with the LPFFA said, "We also had a pumpkin carving contest between our shifts. They were able to carve a pumpkin in order to win a $500 gift..."
The festival helped raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association and Ronald McDonald House Charities.
