SNYDER, TX (KCBD) -
Snyder police tell us one woman is dead and another is in the hospital after a family argument turned deadly on Friday night.
Police say James Smith, 52, has been taken into custody in connection with a shooting that injured 55-year-old Jeanie Smith and killed 26-year-old Mattie Smith.
Police are still investigating the exact circumstances that led to the shooting, but they say they responded to the call in the 1300 block of 23rd Street around 9:40 p.m.
Jeanie Smith was rushed to UMC by Aerocare. She was in critical condition as of Friday.
