An alarming new report from the CDC today points to children and the risk they face if they live with uncontrolled diabetes. The study compared the number of death rates in children with diabetes today as compared to 20 years ago. They found that under age 10, there have been fewer deaths from complications. In teens, there has been a slight increase in diabetes related deaths, both in Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes. Today we have Dr. Ron Cook with us. He is the Chairman of Family Medicine at Texas Tech Health Sciences Center with some advice on learning to control diabetes and live a full life.
