Operators of local fireworks stands say they were busy Sunday night despite the stormy weather. Now that the two week firecracker frenzy is over, stand owners are busy Monday packing up the leftovers.
"Now that the Fourth is over, we have to inventory everything and box it all up, and we take it and put it in storage for next year," explains Ty Hasley, who inherited his fireworks stand from his father.
"The stand sits in storage, and the rest of the year I go to Tech and have another job," says Anna Coats, manager of another local stand.
Many of the stands will re-open for New Years.
