Election Day weather forecast

Posted: Updated:
LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Very mild early November weather for this Election Day in the KCBD viewing area. While the morning is a bit chilly with lows in the 30s and 40s, the afternoon will warm well into the 70s with a few 80s possible near and east of Caprock (the eastern KCBD viewing area). Plus, the wind will be light and the sky mostly sunny. Here's the First Alert Forecast Team's breakdown to help you plan when to cast your vote, if you haven't done so:

  • 7 AM: 39° - Mostly fair, light wind, chilly
  • Noon: 74° - Mostly sunny, light breeze, warm, pleasant
  • 6 PM: 72° - Mostly fair, light wind, nice

For the above times only Noon will be in sunshine - sunrise is at 7:11 AM and sunset at 5:50 PM.

The ingredients for near record-warmth and strong winds will be in place late this week, with a significant drop in temperatures over the weekend. The ingredients for rain, unfortunately, look scarce. The potential for measurable precipitation is low. The details are in the forecast on our Weather page at kcbd.com/weather.
