LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

The murder suspect in a 1994 slaying that was unsolved for more than a decade is now behind bars in Lubbock.

In 2010, DNA evidence linked Kerry Don Williams, 37, of Levelland to the brutal murder of 44-year-old Charlotte Diane Ivey.

Ivey was found stabbed to death at the Lindsay Laundromat on Avenue W and 34th Street in January of 1994.

The mother of four had apparently been living at the laundromat.

Officials say the DNA match was made two years ago while Williams was serving a 30-year sentence for aggravated sexual assault.

Though the full scope of the investigation is not clear, the information requests make evident at least some of the areas that Mueller and his team of prosecutors intend to look into and also reveal a strong interest in certain of Trump's actions as president.
