Police: Lubbock man charged with DWI, failure to render aid

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

A Lubbock man has been charged with DWI and Failure to Stop and Render Aid after police say he hit a pedestrian and left the scene.

Police responded to the incident in the 1300 block of Quaker Avenue around 5 a.m. Sunday.

The victim, Juan Garza, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. He was still in serious condition as of Sunday night.

Shelby Miller, 24, was arrested and taken to the Lubbock County Jail.
