LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -
The Lady Raiders used a strong first half to defeat Nicholls State on Saturday afternoon 78-48 in their second game of the Basketball Travelers Tournament at the United Spirit Arena.
The Lady Raiders were led by Casey Morris with 19 points. Kelsi Baker finished with 12 points. Three Lady Raiders finished with 10 points on Saturday including Christine Hyde, Amber Battle and Jackie Patterson.
Nicholls State only led by 3 points early in the first half, but the Lady Raiders never lifted off the offensive gas pedal.
The Lady Raiders are now 4-2. Nicholls State dropped to 5-2 on the season.
The Lady Raiders will host New Orleans on Sunday at 2 p.m.
