Levelland Authorities Make Second Arrest In Murder Of Lubbock Man

A second suspect in connection with a recent Hockley County murder is now behind bars. 29-year-old Cody Lee Beaty was arrested late Thursday afternoon, in the parking lot of a Lubbock motel. Now he and Michael Gomez are both charged with the murder of 21-year old Julio Arismendez.

Arismendez died of multiple gunshot wounds and blunt force trauma. His body was found last month in an abandoned farmhouse near Anton.

Levelland authorities say they are now considering the possibility of a third suspect.
