A trip to the spa is a good Christmas gift idea. That's where they use a lot of oils. A new study suggests short-term exposure to the oils used in aroma-therapy may lower your risk for heart trouble. The study comes from Taiwan where researchers followed a hundred healthy, non-smoking spa workers, who were exposed to those oils for two hours in a lab. They found their blood pressure and heart rate went down fifteen minutes after the start of the aromatherapy, and stayed that way an hour after it ended! That's when the levels climbed back up to normal. The conclusion could be worth the effort. That even short-term exposure to aroma-therapy appears to have a positive impact on heart health.
