Lubbock police investigate overnight shooting in Rogers Park

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Police are investigating a shooting at a park in north Lubbock. Adam Flores, 19, went to the hospital around 9:20 p.m. with a gunshot wounds to his right hand and thigh.

He told police that he was at Rogers Park at Amherst Street and Gary Avenue around 7 p.m. when two teens asked if he wanted to buy a gun.

He says he slapped the gun away, causing it to go off.

The suspects then fled the scene.
