Ride Citibus free with U Can Share donation

From City of Lubbock:

Citibus congratulates South Plains Food Bank for their 30th year. We have collaborated with the SPFB in gathering food each year. Last year alone Citibus' passengers brought in 9,419 pounds of food for the SPFB in exchange for free rides.

Through December 15, ride one way free with the donation of one can or boxed food item. With three food donations, you receive an all day pass or a ride on our CitiAccess program.  CitiAccess is door to door scheduled rides for those who are not able to ride the regular Citibus. Please call 806-712-2000 ext. 235 for CitiAccess eligibility and scheduling.

All year and especially around the holiday season, those that use Citibus are very grateful for the City's transportation and also the gifts of food that are contributed by our community. Citibus is proud of this service and thankful for all the support we receive from our passengers and community.

Citibus also partners with SPFB throughout the year in transporting citizens who have food box vouchers that have been donated to them by local agencies and churches.  Each Monday – Friday customers bring their voucher to the Downtown Transfer Plaza by 10:30 AM at 801 Broadway. Citibus transports them to the SPFB to pick up their food at which time Citibus transports them back to the address that is printed on their voucher.
