Police: Robbery suspect in custody after threatening 7-11 clerk

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Lubbock police arrested an armed robbery suspect Sunday morning near the 7-11 at 2608 Ave. Q.

Police say Shanette Washington, 25, was arrested around 9 a.m. after she displayed a knife, demanded money from the clerk, and left the store.

The suspect was located a few blocks away.

Police say Washington displayed a knife when officers made contact and was tazed when she refused to drop it.

Washington was taken into custody and transported to the Lubbock County Detention Center.
