600 young adults are on a mission in West Texas this week and it's benefiting dozens of people in need of a helping hand. Right now, 60 are in Lubbock for "The Central Texas Conference Youth in Mission". They'll be repairing homes and building other projects to help those in need.
"It's usually people who have fallen between the cracks or other systems or people who are really in need," said Leslie Byrd with Central Texas Conference Director.
On Friday, all 600 volunteers will meet at the First United Methodist Church in Lubbock for a worship celebration and communion.
