Slaton home destroyed by fire - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

Two people are without a home Thursday night following a morning house fire in Slaton.

The Slaton Fire Department responded to a home in the 1300 block of East Division Street just before 9:45 a.m.

No one was injured, but fire officials say the house is a total loss. Investigators say the fire was caused by an electrical heater that was near a bed.

The Red Cross is assisting the residents.
