Lubbock schools enhancing security measures

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

LISD wants to reassure parents that starting Monday, all campuses will have controlled access points. This enables staff to lock down a school with the push of a button.

Counseling services will also be available to students, and all staff members are trained in crisis management.

Lubbock Cooper ISD also has emergency plans in place. The district is placing additional police officers at each of their schools.
