Nineteen Texas Tech baseball players make academic honor roll

From Texas Tech Athletics:

The Texas Tech baseball program had 19 student-athletes earn academic honor roll during the fall semester while marking the program's most fall academic honor roll recipients since 2009.

The Red Raiders also had three student-athletes earn dean's list honors while senior outfielder Brennan Moore (General Business), freshman infielder J.J. Bissell (Fort Collins, Co lo.) and freshman left-handed pitcher Reid Meyer (Exercise and Sports Sciences) all registered at least a 3.5 grade point average.

"It's a credit to not only our student-athletes but also to the individuals at the Marsha Sharp Center who provide outstanding academic support to our players throughout the year," first-year head coach Tim Tadlock said. "I'm proud of our team's efforts in the classroom this semester."

Moore has earned academic honor roll recognition in each of his three semesters at Texas Tech while earning dean's list honors twice.

Junior right-handed pitcher Trey Masek (Energy Commerce) earned academic honor roll recognition for the fourth time and for the third consecutive semester. Sophomore infielders Blake Bass (Exercise and Sports Science) and Bryant Burleson (Energy Commerce) were each recognized as honor roll recipients for the third consecutive semester.

Sophomore shortstop Tim Proudfoot (Nutrition) also earned academic honor roll status for the second straight semester.
