West Nile Claims First Victim In Texas In 2004 - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

Texas has recorded its first human death from the West Nile Virus this year.

The Texas Department of Health says the man in Orange County died after contracting the virus in June. The southeast Texas man apparently had traveled outside of his hometown of Vidor in the weeks before becoming ill.
