The Texas Tech Red Raiders got as close as four points in the second half, but were unable to pull off the victory against Arizona State on Saturday as they fell 77-62.
Jaye Crockett led the way for the Red Raiders in points and rebounding for the eighth straight game with 11 points and 9 rebounds.
Jordan Tolbert and Josh Grey each scored 10 points.
Freshman guard Dusty Hannahs made his first career start on Saturday and knocked down 9 points
The story of the game was hot shooting from Arizona State's Jonathan Gilling and Jahill. They each scored 18 points as the Sun Devils shot over 50 percent from beyond the three point line.
The Red Raiders dropped to 5-4 on the season as the Sun Devils improve their record to 10-2.
The Red Raiders will take a short break for the Christmas holidays then return to action next Saturday against North Carolina A&T.
