Thursday, Lubbock Police are searching for a suspect in an armed robbery.
Just before 9:30am Thursday morning, the suspect entered the Kwik Stop Convenience Store at 59th and Avenue P. Police say the man jumped over the counter, forced the clerk to the back wall, and hit the clerk on the back of the head with a gun. The suspect then emptied the register, grabbed a few other items, and shut the clerk in the bathroom.
The suspect was described as a black man, about 6'2", 220 lbs., with a muscular build. He was last seen wearing a black shirt and black pants, a white cap with a North Carolina logo, and blue bandana.
