The potential for snow in the KCBD viewing area is increasing, and snow is likely in the area later today.
The area most likely to experience accumulating snowfall leading to travel issues is just south and southwest of Lubbock into southeastern New Mexico. While the Lubbock vicinity may see light accumulations (under an inch) the southwestern viewing area could see one to three inches over the next 24 hours. Of course, this is a developing storm and slight changes in any number of variables would change the end result.
Even with light snowfall, Lubbock-area streets and roads can become hazardous. You may want to plan extra commute time Friday morning.
