LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -
Shortly before 3 p.m. on Thursday, Lubbock Police were alerted
of a possible inmate escape from the Montford prison unit.
Officials from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice say
all the inmates are accounted for and no one has escaped.
This all started when the prison was alerted that someone
left the Montford Unit in a white pick-up truck with New Mexico plates. Police
were given the description of the truck to locate while prison officials did a
head count of their inmates.
About 45 minutes later officials confirmed that all
prisoners were there and there had not been an escapee.
