LUBBOCK, TX- The first Mexican-American elected County Commissioner of Lubbock has died. 66-year old Eliseo Solis of Levelland passed away around 2:00 p.m. today.
Solis was elected County Commissioner in 1984. He was a graduate of Texas Tech and a teacher in Crystal City, Texas during the early 1970s.
