For the second consecutive year, a successful Facebook “Like” campaign resulted in EverydayFamily.com donating $20,000 to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
Tampa, Fla. (PRWEB) January 10, 2013
For the second consecutive year, EverydayFamily.com donated $20,000 to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), after a successful Facebook “Like” campaign. More than 18,000 participants joined the cause by clicking EverydayFamily.com’s Facebook “Like” button and sharing the campaign with friends.
EverydayFamily.com released a statement, saying, “We’re happy to report that we gained more than 18,000 new Likes during this campaign. Your voices helped us to make a difference to these children affected by blood cancers. It’s a great number of people – and we welcome each and every one! But it was too close for us to stop there, so we decided to go ahead and up the number to a nice round $20,000. That’s right – you were all a part of an amazing donation to a worthwhile cause.”
As part of the campaign, participants were asked to share within the EverydayFamily.com community how the LLS work has individually inspired them. Of those that shared, EverydayFamily.com selected one of the registered members to receive a $250 Amazon Gift Card, as an additional indication of thanks for the liberal support received.
“EverydayFamily.com wanted to raise awareness and support for the LLS cause, because leukemia takes more lives of children in the Unites States than any other cancer.” said Noah Anderson, owner and CEO of EverydayFamily.com. “By working together – by donating our time and efforts – I feel that we will truly make a difference.”
The money raised through EverydayFamily.com’s campaign will fund a portfolio of over 11 pediatric cancer research grants, and 100 percent of the donations will directly benefit LLS research.
