Lubbock Man Behind Bars After Police Chase

One man remains behind bars Sunday night after leading about a dozen Lubbock police officers on a chase. 20 year-old Michael Williams is charged with evading arrest after he and another man fled police Saturday night.

It started around 6:00 p.m. near 30th St. and Avenue Q when officers attempted to pull over William's car. That's when he sped away, running several stop signs.

The two men eventually jumped out of the car and took off running. Officers in patrol cars and bicycles took part in the pursuit.

Both men were arrested near 30th St. and Avenue N. Williams was wanted on previous warrants.
