A Mexican woman has given birth to sextuplets, two boys and four girls after complications forced doctors to end her pregnancy after 27 weeks. Salud Romero Ruiz gave birth Thursday, January 10, by caesarean section. The babies' weight ranged from one pound, two ounces to two pounds. They averaged about 12 inches in length. Two of the babies died, both were girls. The mother said her doctor told her she was going to have five babies. All the babies are underweight and in intensive care. In 2001, Ruiz gave birth to quadruplets, but only two survived.
