CROSBYTON, TX (KCBD) -

It could be next week before authorities determine what killed 2-year-old Leah Marie Aguirre.

Crosbyton Police Chief Greg Parrott says the autopsy is complete but investigators are waiting on toxicology results.

No official identification has been made, but authorities say they believe it is Leah's body.

A child's body was found last week in the basement of Matilda Almaraz's home in Crosbyton. Almaraz was Leah's caregiver.

She's charged with capital murder and remains jailed on a $1 million bond.
