Fire damages Lubbock apartment

The Fire Marshal's Office is investigating an early morning fire in west Lubbock.

Firefighters responded to the Aspen Village Apartments, near 50th and Bangor, around 5:30 a.m. Tuesday.

The fire damaged on unit, but did not spread to any others. But, firefighters evacuated the units on either side, as a precaution.

One person suffered from smoke inhalation, but is expected to be okay.

Police also arrested one person at the scene.
