Hundreds gathered at the Civic Center today for the annual State of the City address. Mayor Glen Robertson discussed Lubbock's current economic data and the latest on city projects.
He said 2 of his biggest priorities were finding new locations for the Police Station and Fire Station Number 1. According to Robertson, the Lubbock Police Station is in terrible condition and needs to be torn down.
Robertson added that he's proud of the way the city is handling water and transportation he was, however concerned about electricity generation and the city's debt.
Proceeds from the event benefited the South Plains Honor Flight.
