Dr. Smith to Interview for President Position

NewsChannel 11 has confirmed that Texas Tech Chancellor Dr. David Smith will fly to Wisconsin this Thursday to interview for a job there. Dr. Smith is one of four finalists for the position of system president at the University of Wisconsin. The lone finalist for the position could be announced as soon as Thursday. The system president oversees about 160,000 students and an annual budget of $3.7 billion.

Dr. Smith was nominated for the position by other educators.
