Red Raiders blasted by Oklahoma State

Posted: Updated:

The Texas Tech men's team (8-8, 1-4) dropped its fourth straight game Saturday afternoon to Oklahoma State (12-4, 2-2), 79-45 at Gallagher Iba Arena.

The Red Raiders were held to a season low 28 percent shooting. Only Jaye Crockett, with 11, and Jordan Tolbert, with 10, were double digit scorers for Tech.

The 34-point loss ties for the largest loss of the season.

Oklahoma State led 35-23 at the half and used a 19-5 run to open the second half and put the game away. The Cowboys were led in scoring by Markel Brown with 21 and Phil Forte with 19. The Cowboys shot 47 percent from the field and a sizzling 8 of 16 from three.

The Red Raiders aim to bounce back when they return to action Wednesday against Iowa State (13-4, 3-1) at United Spirit Arena.
