Mobile home destroyed in Saturday morning fire

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

A fire that broke out at the Applegate Shady Acres Mobile Home Estates around 2:30 a.m. Saturday has destroyed a mobile home and left a family of five displaced.

American Red Cross Volunteer Bill Curnow said the family had a safe place to go after the fire but the Red Cross did provide them with money for food and clothing.

The family consists of an adult and four children. All of them were able to make it out unharmed.

Lubbock Fire Marshall Robert Loveless said the origin of the fire is undetermined at this time, but the mobile home was a complete loss.
