The Lubbock County Junior Livestock Show continued Saturday morning at the South Plains Fairgrounds. The initial event began Friday, as they showed lamb and steer.
Saturday was the Barrow Show.
The FFA kids showing these male pigs were at the fairgrounds bright and early at 6 a.m., getting ready for the big day.
Eric Bourquin, president of the Junior Livestock Association said, "A lot of responsibility on these young kids - big investment for them and their parents and it's a great learning opportunity for them - to put together an animal and present it to a really good high-quality judge and see how things turn out for them."
Bourquin says over 800 exhibitors were expected to visit the show.
