Car collides with bus on 19th Street

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Alan Ogutu, 29, suffered life-threatening injuries Saturday night when the Toyota Corolla he was riding in collided with a parked bus.

Police say the driver, Brian Mogaka, 24, failed to maintain a single lane and collided with the bus at 1900 19th Street sometime around 11:30 p.m.

Both driver and passenger were taken to UMC for treatment. Brian Mogaka was treated and released.

The bus was not occupied at the time of the accident.

Police say the driver may have been intoxicated.
