Former Death Row Inmate Resentenced

A former Texas death row inmate was re-sentenced Wednesday for his role in a 1993 robbery and murder in Plainview.

Last month, a Lubbock federal judge threw out Joe Lee Guy's death sentence. Wednesday, a state judge in Plainview sentenced the 32-year-old to life in prison, the same sentence as two other men involved in the slaying.

Authorities believe Guy was the lookout in the robbery that led to the killing of 62-year-old Larry Howell at the store he owned.
