Dedication Ceremony for Lubbock's Newest Park

The first of seven new parks in Lubbock will be dedicated Thursday night.

The ceremony for Lopez Park is scheduled to start at 7pm Thursday. Kenny Maines and Friends will hold an evening concert at 7:30pm.

The park, located at the intersection of Auburn and Chicago, is in its final stage of development with more trees scheduled to be planted this fall.
