TTU Offering Free Tai Chi to Some Knee Pain Sufferers

If you are age 50 or over and suffer from knee pain, you may want to take advantage of a study at Texas Tech.

We told you about phase one last march, which involved free Tai Chi classes for the study group. Now, researchers are moving into phase two. And again, they need some people with knee pain to study.

You can't go wrong on this one because everybody benefits. If you qualify, you get free Tai Chi classes and free exams, while researchers in the Department of Rehab Sciences at Texas Tech study the effects of Tai Chi on osteoarthritis of the knee.

If you're interested in joining the study, there are two sign up sessions:

  • Tuesday, July 27th from 6:30 to 7:30pm
  • Saturday, July 31st from 3 to 4pm

Both sessions will be at the Lakeridge United Methodist Church Ministry Center. For more information on the study, just call 794-8843.
