Titletown honors VSU national champions

VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) -

Whether you want to call Valdosta "Winnersville" or "Titletown", the community honoring three more national championship teams from Valdosta State with a parade Wednesday afternoon.

The parade featured VSU's NCAA Division II national championship teams.

Teams honored were the 2011 men's tennis team, the 2012 softball team, and of course the 2012 Blazers football team.

The coaches, players, the marching band, and cheerleaders put on a show for the crowd.

One man said he's just happy the Winnersville community can come together and support the college teams.

"To support my Blazers. Instead of seeing Wildcats, Vikings only, now you see Blazers," said VSU fan Rodrick Netter.

Valdosta State's softball team opens their season on Saturday in Pensacola, Florida.
