Prosecutor Sunshine Stanek told jury on September 28, 2009, Nunley was convicted of having less than 2 ounces of marijuana, a misdemeanor.
Stephanie Nunley testified in defense of her son, calling him a good son and a good family member.
The defense also called a pastor, Samuel King. King says he has known Nunley since he was 5 years old. He said Nunley would come to church regularly while living with his mother and as often as he could after that.
