Red Raiders fall to Mountaineers 77-61

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The Red Raiders welcomed the West Virginia Mountaineers to United Spirit Arena on Saturday afternoon, but it was the new kids on the block who left with a victory.

The Red Raiders fell to 9-10 overall and 2-6 in the Big 12 after a 77-61 defeat to the Mountaineers.

Ty Nurse led the way for the Red Raiders with 14 points in 24 minutes.

Jaye Crockett went 4-8 and scored 13 points against West Virginia.

The Mountaineers were led by Eron Harris with 18 points.

The Red Raiders will return to the floor of the United Spirit Arena on Tuesday as they welcome #18 Kansas State. Tip off is set for 7 p.m.
