For the first time in four months, the cost of living in Lubbock is decreasing.

The cost of living decreased .2 % in June. Economic analysts attribute the decrease to a slight drop in gas prices. That was able to offset the considerable increases elsewhere.

For example, clothing costs went up 6.2 % in June. Lubbockites also saw increases in utility bills and healthcare.
