Kidnapped Lubbock Girl Safe - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

A young girl is safe after police say she was kidnapped Wednesday afternoon.

The 4 year-old was reported missing around 4 p.m., taken from a home near 63rd and Avenue T, apparently by her step-grandfather.

Lubbock police found the man and the girl just before 6 p.m. in Clapp Park, near the Garden and Arts Center on South University. The man was arrested and faces kidnapping charges.

Police do not have a motive for the child being taken.
